Quick Fix and Full System Scan error

The icon on my task bar has an  x through its and says  my computer is at risk after repeated attempts the results say 0 risks or viruses, but  go to finish and says quick fix not fixed. So last night at bed time I did a full scan only to find this morning full scan not complete quick scan not complete but  the report found no risks nothing. So I downloaded the Norton Eraser and  once again nothing found. I am in so kind of computer Catch 22,  I just recently renewed my subscription like 5 days ago and this seems to be a by product. Any suggestions?

Hi richardhannah,

Welcome to the Norton Community.

What Norton product do you have and what is the version from Help > About? What version of Windows do you have and is it 32 or 64 bit?

Did you renew your subscripton or update the program? If you updated the program can you tell us what you had previously?

Do you have any other security software installed on your computer besides your Norton software?

What you are describing sounds like a problem with the program or installation itself and not malware.

Can you describe what you see on the main window of your Norton product? You should be able to see a particular setting on the front with a red X or something. You can also post a screenshot of the main window and attach to your post by clicking the  symbol at the top of your reply editor.

We can assist further once we have some more details from you.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.

Allen
