Quick scan

Since it is mentioned that Quick scan includes root kit protection, is quick scan similiar to Malwarebytes' quick scan behavior?  Is quick scan sufficient in most cases?

Hi,

by default the program will do a Full System Scan once a week during idle times, and do idle quick scans daily. I would say that is enough.

But if you notice anything strange, it is good to scan the whole system with Notron and Malwarebytes' as well. The best is to do it in Safe Mode where no viruses should be able to run.

What I mean is that is quick scan the new full scan. In malwarebytes, the recommended option is do a quick scan, not a full one. Is this the same with Norton 2012.

Yes - please see the following post:

Full System Scan is set to Monthly by default in the 2012 products.

Why does the quick scan run continuously for  two to five days  twenty four hours ?
