Quickscan locks at checking for W32.Downadup.B

Norton Internet Security ver. 22.8.0.50. Quickscan (& Full System Scan) hangs when checking for W32.Downadup.B. This only happens when PCs are connected to the internet. If I run the scan without connection, the scan runs to completion and only finds tracking cookies. 5 PCs running Win10. If I pause or stop the scan it just sits there, I have to perform a shut down and still push the power button to fully shut down.

On one PC I uninstalled and reinstalled manually (not RnR), but still have the problem.

All PCs where running Win7 and upgraded prior to 7/29/16. Quickscan & Full System Scan running fine until about 30 days ago.
