Razer devices will download the "Razer Synapse" software package which will grant highest system privileges to a local user who doesn't already have that account level on Windows 10 / 11 systems. Please read the article over on BleepingComputer.

Looks like Steel Series devices will perform the same privilege escalation as Razer. At some point companies just have to seriously look at the incompetence they are hiring to create their software.
