Not an expert, so simple language in replies, please!
I just had to change PCs due to hard disc failure. I have good recovery points on an external hard disk, created using Ghost 10.
The new PC runs Windows 7. Couldn't get Ghost 10 to work, so I bought a downlaod of Ghost 14 last night. This has successfully recovered much of my stuff, but I'm stymied on emails. I have identified a file called mailbox.pst, which I think is what I need (?) - this is an astonishing 1.4Gb. (I do have a lot of old emails carefully filed away!)
I have managed to restore this file to the new system, and have tried to import it into Outlook 2007. No joy at all. Looking at it, I see that it's got read-only attributes with a blue square against it, and i can't change this. I guess it could be relevant.
I've been on the Norton chat line, and they very kindly agreed to credit the cost of Ghost 14 (!) but could only advise me to wait until there's a version of Ghost compatible with Windows 7.
I really do need these files. Is there anything I can do?
Thanks
Dave
