Please note that to reinstall your NAV 2010 you do not need the Serial Number but rather the Product KEY which is quite different.
If you go to your Norton Account via the web as dieselman correctly states and log into it, click on the entry there for the current NAV and it will bring up additional information. Since this includes both the Product KEY and the Serial Number it is important to get the right one.
You can highlight the KEY code and Copy it into the clipboard so you can Paste it and don't have to type it into the activation box.
In case you need the KEY again and have not formated the computer drive, you will find that installing and activating NAV/NIS creates a Symantec folder in My Documents and places a file KEY.txt in there for you!
Please make sure that you run LiveUpdate a few times after you install the new copy to make sure that it is fully uptodate. Depending on where you download it from you may not get the latest 17.6 .... version and you may need to reboot between running LiveUpdate to get the upgrade. Check to see which version you actually download by clicking on HELP/Support on the main screen.
