Re-install Ghost 14 in Windows Home Premium

I have been using Ghost 14.0 satisfactorily, backing up to external HD, for about 2 years.  I even did a complete system restore 2 days ago.  I noticed then that when daily scheduled Files & Folders backups are run there is a Success message, but the backups are not listed as among those from which I can restore Files & Folders--only Restore Points are listed.  For this reason and because I got a Windows message about a wrong or missing driver, I decided to re-install Ghost 14 from the retail CD.

I uninstalled using Windows Add/Remove Programs and rebooted. I tried three times to reinstall, all of which failed with this error message:  "Error 1935.  An error occurred during the installation of assembly component {63E949F6-03BC-5C40-A01F-C8B3B9A1E18E}, HRESULT: 0X800736FD."  This is on a Lenovo laptop with 32-bit environment backing up to an IOmega terabyte external HD.  I also have a separate installation of Norton Antivirus. All Microsoft and Norton programs are up to date.

Any ideas?
