The product key should be picked up during the install. I haven't heard that anyone has had any problems with this happening.
angellic18, you can download the 2009 version from the Norton Update Center and use the instructions that others have already provided to activate it.
Well not too long ago I had my old hard drive crash on me and as of right now I have a brand new one. My issue is I updated my subscription automatically months before this new crash. My question is how do I re download the software to my new hard drive or do I have to pay for another subscription which I sadly as of right now cant afford. I had I believe in the old hard drive the basic 2007 anti Virus installed. Any sort of help would be greatly appreciated. -Angellic18-
EDIT: I figured out it would be even better to update it to 2009 and I dont incur a fee I think so I have the icon I just need to download it... I hope that solves my issue just the same.
Well I must say thank you to those that gave me suggestions. I had called and got a brand new product key because of the last one I had lost it in the shuffles of one of my files in my old hard drive. When I called they fixed my issue and gave me a new key and an upgrade to 2008. But seeing as though I had downloaded already 2009 I just used the code I was given and now things seem to work fine. Just to confirm: You have N.I.S. 2009 installed and fully-working?

Download and install 2009 to use together with your old subscription would be your best option. You do however need your productkey from your old 2007 to be able to use your old subscription. If you don't have it, check www.mynortonaccount.com or contact your local support for help.
