Please help.
The parental monitoring software has not been working for the last 4 days. It went on the blink 4 days ago - sent 20+ reports in one day, all the same, which was put to me spam folder. Now, when I click on the icon, whether it's on my computer or my daughter's, it says parental action is required.
I do not want the monitoring on my computer; only on my daughter's computer. It was set up properly. I don't know what happened. She has been able to access the 3 sites that I blocked. And, the Activity report says there has been no activity for 4 days, and there has been activity.
My daughter has Windows XP and I have Windows Vista. Her computer is required for school. She uses Google Chrome, and I use that and also Internet Explorer. When I log in, the settings are correct. (Except 2 things were allowed which I don't remember putting on the settings. I don't know if my daughter was able to change something or not).
I don't know how I'll get your reply. I can't even find the reply button - I tried several times to write this help question but couldn't find a way to do it.
I am getting fed up with this.
Please help!
Hi raffertybr,
As of now, OnlineFamily.Norton officially supports Web monitoring only on Internet Explorer and Firefox. However, it has been observed that it also works on other Web browsers. To check if Norton Safety Minder is working on your daughter's computer, do the following:
• Make sure Norton Safety Minder is enabled on that computer.
• Confirm if your daughter's Windows user account is assigned to the Child profile on OnlineFamily.Norton. You can check this by right clicking the Norton Safety Minder icon in System Tray and then clicking Edit Accounts.
• Try accessing the website which you have blocked, using IE or Firefox on your daughter's computer.

Hello raffertybr,
I am sorry to hear that you experiencing some difficulty with OnlineFamily.Norton. In your post, you indicate that there is an 'icon' present both on your own computer and your daughter's. Is this the square yellow icon with the paw print in the System Tray? If so, then this icon should not be present on your own PC. This is the Norton Safety Minder client and should only be installed on the Child's machine. If this is indeed the case, I suggest the first thing you do is un-install the NSM client from your own PC. You may follow these instructions:
https://onlinefamily.norton.com/familysafety/help/uninstalling-NFS-Minder.jsp
In addition, and once you have un-installed the NSM client from your own PC, can you please log back into the Web Portal at https://onlinefamily.norton.com/familysafety/loginStart.fs, go to 'Settings==>Profile' and tell me how many computers its shows are running the NSM client for this account? Also, I assume you are only monitoring one child?
Thanks!
Jason
