Reading an old .pqi file

Hi, I'm trying desperately to get at the data contained in a .pqi file, which (presumably, this was a long time ago…) was created with PowerQuest Drive Image.

I've searched the web high and low, and have come across a few threads on this forum mentioning .pqi files, so I am hopeful that one of you might be able to help me!

What are my options – if any – for retrieving the data in that file? I'm happy to use Linux/Mac/Windows tools, hex-edit the file, whatever it takes… ;)

I already found the "Norton Ghost Image Browser" (at ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/linked_files/Ghost/Norton%20Ghost%20Image%20Browser.exe), but when I try opening my .pqi file with it, I get the error: "Error ED800012: The internal structure of the image file (CRC Check or Frame Header) is invalid, damaged or unsupported."

Am I out of luck?

Thanks!
