Receiving bogus emails from "Norton"

I am a user and current subscriber to Norton 360.

I just received another bogus email from someone pretending to be Norton by Symantec.  This time, the sender is: Norton Renewals <offer@symonlinerenewal.com>

The last one I received was a different topic, insinuating that I have a virus/malware and should call an 800 number right away.  The email looked authentic, but when I called the number it was obvious that I had reached an unauthorized party.  I reported this to the real Norton support tech who helped me double check to be sure that I had no viruses or worms or malware . . . I trust it to be thorough.

This new one is telling me that my subscription is expiring and I should click on a link to renew.  I have over a year left on my subscription and a closer look at the email shows it to be highly suspicious.  Just notice that it shows the mailing address to be in "St" Diego, California. The rest of the address seems to be bogus as well.  I've attached a copy of the email.

I hope that Norton's staff is reading this forum and can be alerted.  Seems ironic that I'm getting spam about the company that is supposed to be protecting me from spam and malware.

Thanks for notifying, @Dan W in PHX. We will look into it.

Hi, Dan. Obvious scam.  Symantec has been notified.

I hope you didn't click on any links in that email ?

Just delete it, if you haven't already.
