Same, I think. Not aware of an upgrade but stopped working on both my PCs today. Just cycles when trying to log in to vault or tab closes. Chrome 131.0.6778.205. NPM v8.2.2.529. Reinstalled extension, rebooted etc - no change.
Same issue. Just get a whirling circle when I try to reach passwords from the application on a PC. No explanation. I have had chats with the team and tried deleting the cache - which was not helpful at all and has resulted in issues having to remember other sites. This is all on Chrome, and I do not like trying to use other browsers. If I do open the Norton browser directly on my browser, and reach the passwords, the site is time-limited and does not automatically link to any other site I open in a new tab.
I am using Fire Fox for my web browser and they didn’t seem to have a problem with that… The Tech Support guy took control of my computer he deleted the Password Manager then reinstalled it… then somehow reconnected to my Password Manager with all my data intact…
I asked them how to delete and reinstall password manager and they said it wasn’t possible. I’ve had poor experience with allowing control to trusted services so will not allow it; they might say ‘you can stop at any time’ if they are half way through something, or working fast without any explanation, it is difficult to stop them.
Also, as there are multiple devices, I do like to know what to do in case the same issue arises on another one.
Any idea how they removed password manager from Norton 360 on your device?
i have the same issue but just in microsoft edge.
i’ve already unistalled and reinstalled the extension (before and after cleaning all the possible in edge) but haven’t solved
are you running Norton Password Manager from Microsoft store or from Chrome store?
and Edge built-in password manager is disabled?
and you tried clearing Edge cache n’ cookies?
and you tried Sign Out Norton Password Manager → cycle browser → Sign In NPM?
and you tried remove Norton Password Manager extension → reinstall NPM extension?
and you tried Sign In (upper right) here to confirm you can access your vault?
and you tried disabling other Edge extensions?
and you tried new default Edge profile with only Norton Password Manager?
No I don’t know how they removed it and reinstalled it I was scared that they would delete over 200 sets of user IDs and Passwords but it was all there when they were done.
I am using Fire Fox on my desktop and on my iOS phone I was able to resolve it but not on the desktop. The Technical Support Team was familiar with the issue and in less than 5 minutes they had the issue resolved and stayed online with me while I checked it out to ensure it was resolved. I downloaded my copy of Norton Password Manager from Norton.com
How does this work? I have the Norton 360 on my laptop. The link to access vault used to work seamlessly as a new tab but that does not work now: it opens a tab but all I see is a whirling circle.
Similarly, if I open a website that needs a password, I can see a prompt to open the vault, but clicking on it results in a whirling circle.
Both of these routes used to work to enable me to open the vault, the latter linking directly to the right option for the website I’d already opened that needed a password.
But now they don’t work.
How do I or Norton fix this?
