(I was redirected here by Quads)
I was browsing through DeviantArt like usual on the Safari browser when one of the tabs I have opened up redirected itself to hard porn website. And it keeps randomly doing that, regardless of what I do. I don't even have to be on google for this to happen.
This is twice I have gotten a redirect virus, but I can't pin down the original source, since I go to quite a few websites. Always seems to start when I go on Deviantart, however. I've already cleared the Safari chache once and seemed to fix it. But what's the point if I keep getting it infected?
My Atomic Web browser does not seem affected, though. I can't say for sure just yet, but so far I have had no redirecting. Atomic Web has Adblock installed, if that makes any difference.
I'm at ends right now. Some answers I have found suggests restarting the whole iOS to get rid of it, others just deleting the cache, others still very skeptical that iOS's can have viruses. Is my iPad just really fine, and Safari just infected and ready to delete, or should I wipe the whole thing and start over?
I did back up the iOS onto iTunes long before the redirecting problem, so not all is lost (just a good chunk of stuff.) My computer is not infected with a redirect and it is on the same network, but it does have Adblock as well. But if the virus can jump from the iOS to my computer, I don't want to risk plugging it in.
Any suggestions?
