Refund for N360 V2

I have had trouble with 360 2. I now have deleted and thrown everything away. I got no help from support via e-mails or online. I asked for a refund about a month ago, and have heard nothing except they have taken the money for my subscription again. I either want a replacement version 3 or my money back for all subscriptions and versions I have bought or I will see my local Onbudsman or someone to sue or claim my rights.

I did all, but the downloaded norton 3 wont work. I  am really ready to give up

What do you mean by 'wont work'?  It does not install?  Does not activate?  When you reboot, then it does not open and run?  What does not function properly for you?

Also, what type system and operating system do you have?  Can you give me some more details about what happened to v2?  Maybe this is something that is preventing both versions from running.

The Icon wont activate or open at all. Wont run. I had V1, got free V2 download and after that nothing would work, I tried everything Nortons suggested but it totally refused to connect up and download updates. Windows XP P4, 3.20ghz Home Edition

Is XP at SP2 level or better? SP2 or SP3?

Have you ever checked your system for any malware / virus?

I have Sp2. As far as I know no malware etc

I know you have been through a lot with this.  If you can hang on one more day, I am contacting a Volunteer that may be able to shed some insight into this.  A Volunteer is an Symantec employee who has ‘donated’ their off time to support users on this forum.  He has many years experience with a lot of the Norton products, both old and new versions, and likes to share that knowledge with the users here.  He will be back tomorrow (he is either working or resting now; this global time thing keeps getting me confussed sometimes) so look for a message that may show up over night.  Thanks for being willing to try on this a little more.

Hi, I tried downloading 360 3 again, but it refuses to finnish. It gets to about 27mgs and stops. And for some reason restarting isnt working iether. I will hang on a bit longer, but my computer is still unprotected.

If you are downloading the entire installation file (66+MB) then try this free download helper.  I have used this before and it works very nicely.  It does support continuing where the download stops so this may help you.

Download Express

Try to download the Norton 360 program in Safe mode with Networking.

1. Restart your computer.

2. As soon as the computer starts, tap the F8 key about once per second until you see the Windows Advanced Options menu.

3. Use the arrow keys on the keyboard to select Safe Mode with Networking, and then press Enter.

4. Click Yes to proceed to Safe mode.

5. Download the Norton 360 3.0 from this LINK, and try to install it safe mode itself. You can install Norton 360 3.0 in Safe mode without any problem.

Let us know how it goes.

Hi Reddwarfu,

You mentioned in your original post that you had asked for a refund and instead charged for your subscription again. I have sent you a message via the community Private Messenger system requesting for some additional information. Please look for the envelope icon ( ) in the upper right hand corner of any community page.

Thanks,

Thanks for the download express, worked fine, managed to download 360 3. And yes it is loaded and working fine. Thankyou again for all the help, pity Norton help wasnt as helpfull.

Reddwarfau -

I'm glad that worked for you.  I thought that this would be a better than trying to use some third party file download service.  I hope you enjoy N360 v3.  I think the improvements over v1 or v2 are well done and very useful.  Come back if you ever need any help.
