Refund requiring wire transfer according to agent?

When I asked for a refund back to my credit card the Norton agent(?) said she wasn’t able to do it due to a technical problem. She said she could send a check. To do that she requested
Your Norton Product Key
• Your Proof of Purchase
**• Your Bank Account Information which included:
o Name on the bank account:
o Name of bank:
o Account number:
o IBAN:
o Swift, BIC, or Sort Code:
Along with additional info.

I refused to send this info. So my questions are 1. Is this routine? 2. Who should I report this to at Norton?

How did you contact Norton Support? This sound like you had someone other than official Norton on the line.
