Registering product key

how do i register second key

Have you purchased a new product key to renew an existing subscription? If so, be aware that if you enter the new key before the expiry of the old subscription, you will lose the remaining time on that subscription. If this is the case, and you still have some time left, you can wait until the expiry or you can contact Norton Support and ask them to add the time from the new key to your existing subscription. If this is not your situation, please elaborate on why you have a second key.

Thank you for your reply but this is what happened. I simply bought a subscription for my desktop and activated it with the key. Then I went to my laptop and thought I could activate it there - only to find out that I had only purchased the subscription for the one device, the desktop. So while on my laptop, I signed in and bought a new subscription and got a new key. But I cannot seem to get that key recognized and it does not show up in my Orders. I really am not sure what to do. your help is appreciated!

Did you purchase the new key directly from Norton or from a retailer?

If from Norton, you might want to look into the pricing of a multi device subscription. It may be less expensive than the two separate one device subscriptions. You should contact Norton Support and ask them to assist with a refund for the second key you purchased, and upgrading your current subscription to support multiple devices.

One note from my post above. When using the chat function for Norton Support, when you can enter information, enter “agent please” to get connected to a human.
