I purchased a laptop in March 2014. the laptop had software pre-installed and I paid and got Tesco to install some new products. I didn't know I had Norton 360 under a ref. I spoke to Symantec last week x 2 as I had no security and tried to download Microsoft Security Essentials as well as Malware Anti Malware Bytes. guy I spoke to kept going offline repeatedly for 2 1/2 hours. he installed stuff remotely and then uninstalled them. I have his name. he then rang me. I have his no. I was then put through whilst the first guy had remote access to a second guy who said that he had spoken to the first woman I spoke to. I said that I had spoken on the phone to a man and gave his name. I retained a copy of the dialogue. sounds like I am being skanked. I updated my phone no. twice on registration details but not retained. last person I was in touch with said that his working hours for Symantec is mon to fri 0900 - 1700. today is sunday and I got through on livechat to a Wilfredo. you only get 255 words and spaces to outline issues. insufficient. I asked if remote access and wifi reconnection charges providing an income for Symantec and he went off line immediately. anyone else had this?
