Does 360 have registry cleaner?
Not sure now because there were so many. What brought this about is that "system restore" is not completing and i ended up being directed to registry cleaners. On further reading iam not sure registry cleaners are particularly benificial (though iam no expert) So any idea why system restore does not complete?
Thanks
Hi Wayne2467,
Can you explain more about "System Restore" not completing?
Do you receive any error message?
Try to disable Norton Tamper Protection from your Norton product and then perform system restore. Let us know the results.

That worked a treat. Thanks for your help.

Does the registy cleaner on 360 actually work? According to all the free scans that are available on the net, i have serious problems that could damage. Also are there any decent free applications?
Thanks Wayne-
Hi,
Welcome to Norton Community. It does includes a Registry cleaner. Goto Pc tuneup->view details->Run Registry Cleanup
It will do a mild scan over the Registry Errors. If you want to know about Registry cleaners in Detail Please pay a visit here.
Does 360 have registry cleaner?
I would recommend not using any Registry Cleaner unless you know you have a problem and know enough about how the registry works to know whether what the Cleaner wants to do is safe or not .... and not many people do know much about the registry ...
And if your Registry CLeaner does not tell you in advance what it is going to do and give you an opportunity to tell it not to ... avoid it like the plague ....
It has a registry cleaner that will break things like all the other automated registry cleaners do.
Be sure to have System Restore enabled or you will lose those changes forever and there is no preview/Are you sure? prompt.
There is no registry cleaner in the new Norton Utilities Premium ... for a good reason.
Are the registry cleaners in Norton Utilities 16 and Norton Utilities Premium safe to use with the latest versions of Windows 10?
Glad we could assist and you have a sufficient answer.
Cheers
Hello GGV. Norton does NOT reorganize the registry and it is HIGHLY recommended not to do so using third party software that does. Registry cleaners can and do remove needed registry entries that will cause a system to become non functional, most professional consider them plain snake oil. From Windows Vista through Windows 10 those OS's optimize themselves using Superfetch, ReadyBoot, and automatic defragmentation during idle times. Most especially if you are using Windows 10 since it performs those functions very well on its own.
I took this from a post by a global moderator Platypus in Bleeping Computer, you may find it something you want to embrace. Just scroll down to his post.
