OK - thanks for the help getting this to the right place.
Also, I think I should have mentioned that I did run SymRegFix.exe and it fixed a lot of problems, but not the one in this post.
I've been fighting lots of battles since installing SP3 (registry errors and problems, system hanging). Have managed to fix most (and uninstalled SP3) but still get this one:
Unexpected or missing value (name: 'BeavCom', value: 'Norton_Utilities') in key 'HKLM\Products\AB7687A6AC7B9CC4CABA58AB6468E55E\Features'
anybody know anything about this? I'm new to this forum and it wasn't clear to me exactly where to post this, please let me know if it's in the wrong place (but I did see similar problems posted here)
btw - even though I uninstalled SP3 and changed Windows preference to notify only of updates, I still got SP3 downloaded to my system with no prompt ... also see multiple instances of a few SP3 files. I mention this only for completness, think it's outside the scope of this forum (but it seems to me that SystemWorks is somehow overriding my Windows Update preferences)
Just to be clear, which version on Norton SystemWorks is installed on your system? I would recommend that you update to the latest version of Norton SystemWorks to ensure compatibility with SP3. Thanks!
SystemWorks is actually deal with under Other Norton Products but one of the Norton Staff will move this I’m sure, and it leaves a link here so you won’t lose site of it <s>
