Detailed description:

Product & version number: not sure

OS details:windows XP

What is the error message you are seeing?

I had to replace the HDD in my XP laptop and am trying to reinstall.

I know XP is no longer supported but I was wondering if anyone here could do me a huge favour and send me a link to the last version that worked with XP and would work with my product key.

I looked up my laptop on here and clicked “reinstall on this device” but it said the fail was not compatible.

I’m typing this on my windows 10 machine abut I do need my XP one as I use diagnostic things for my car that only works with XP

If you have any supporting screenshots, please add them:

@spacedman Unfortunately, reinstallation of the version you had or any other version of Norton on XP and activation is no longer possible. Due to both XP and Norton no longer being supported by Microsoft and Norton respectively. If still installed they will continue to work but will not get updates. Support may be able to help you, but realistically they most likely will recommend upgrading your OS which on your part defeats the purpose. Give support a go to see if they can help.
