Remote Desktop Stops Working After NIS upgrade

I upgraded NIS on one of my two remote computers instead of renewing. Now the Remote Desktop does not work on the upgraded computer but it still works okay on the other remote computer. I get the message "Remote Desktop cannot find the computer XXXX. This might mean.... etc." So something happend to the remote computer after the upgrade. The NIS version is V18.7.2.3. I am not sure about the version before the upgrade but the original registration date was Dec 19, 2007. The upgraded computer is running Vista Ultimate 32 bit. It seems like I have the right options checked to enable Remote Desktop but I am obviously missing something. How do I get Remote Desktop back?

More info please...

Is this a fully MS (ala RDP) client/server connection or a 3rd party remote access solution (i.e. Teamviewer, PCAW, Citrix, etc.)?

Is this a local (LAN) or distant Internet (WAN) connection?

Is there a endpoint client also in use (for a third party encryption tunnel/pipe - i.e. Cisco VPN client)?
