Removal of scanning of outgoing e-mails with Norton 360

I have just purchased Norton 360. How do I permantly remove scanning of outgoing e-mails as it will not let any e-mails be sent.

Hi Bruce,

I've got n360v6, so it might be slightly different to n360v20.  Open n360 and go to Settings > Antivirus.  On the Scans and Risks tab look for Email Antivirus Scan.  Move the slider to Off and click Apply.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Dave

Edit:  If you click Configure [+] you can turn off just the outgoing mail scan.

Thanks for the advise. Although I just purchased it today, I notice that it is Norton 360 V5 and I do not get "Email Antivirus Scan" under the Scans and Risks tab

Sorry,  I can't remember the settings in v5, but...

In that case you are entitled to upgrade to the latest version free of charge.

Let us know if that is something you might consider and we can point you in the right direction.

Hi,

Open Norton 360.
On the top select ‘Settings’.
On the left side first option ‘Antivirus’.
Second tab ‘scans and risks’.
Email AntiVirus scan.
Slide it to off.

anas,

Did you read my first reply above?
