Remove footer in emails

Hi, I’ve got Norton 360 on my laptop running Windows 10. I’m a rank beginner, so can somehow please advise how to remove the Norton anti-virus footer message that’s being inserted automatically into emails that I send. I’ve tried googling this question but couldn’t find an accurate response. Many thanks.

Hello Donna. Allow us to ask whether you are using web based email or an email client such as Microsoft Outlook. In the interim this suggestion from Microsoft may help.

Edited: There is also a suggestion from a Norton article you may want to review.

Thanks SoulAsylum. I’m running Windows 365 and am using Outlook to manage my gmail. Thanks for your suggestion but that isn’t the problem. The “footer” that Norton is placing below the text in all my sent emails shows an envelope with a tick beside it then the wording Virus-Free and the norton website address.
I can’t see it on the screen before the email is sent though - I only see it once I open a sent message.
