My HP G62t came with Internet Security 2011, and when I uninstalled it, there was still InstStub.exe left. also when I search for "Norton", there are a 165 files, most NortonLogo and a lot of XML files. when i go to customize, there is a "InstStub.exe" option as seen in the attachment. How do I get rid of these? I've already tried the Norton Removal Tool, and when I search for "InstStub" there are no results.
Hi MAS100,
Welcome to the Norton Community. Do you have another security product you will be using in place of NIS 2011?
What OS and SP do you have and is it 32 or 64 bit?
You said you ran the Norton removal tool. Did you first uninstall NIS 2011 via control panel and then run the removal tool twice with a reboot in between each run? This is what we normally recommend to ensure a complete removal.
You can also download the run CCleaner and see if there is anything NIS related and if so it can be safely removed. Be sure to allow CCleaner to back up your windows registry before having to make the changes.

Hope this helps and please let us know how it goes.
Best wishes.
