I came here after failing at chat. "The estimated wait time to be connected to a NortonLifelock Representative is 1 hours and 28 minutes 40 seconds." Not willing to wait, I recently got auto renewed for my account. No problem there. Where I do have a problem is with the amount: $239.99!!! How did it get so EXPENSIVE??? I was not made aware of a price increase. I thought I was saving money by asking for an annual renewal, then entering my credit card. But to my surprise, it costs now OVER $200!!!!!!! Please help me, as this may be my final year subscribing.
Cancel, claim refund, buy new on offer usually around £30 or under annually. Add new license info a couple of days prior to current subscription ending and it will run concurrently with no probs hopefully but remember to download and save any backups etc as they won't be retained as its a new product.
I am only renewing NortonLifeLock, I do not own any other products like Norton Utilities or anti-virus protection, I just sign on from the website, I don't have the program installed on my computer.
I received an email saying my account had been renewed, and it had the order number, name, total amount, and product serial number.
What I want to know is why is it $239.99 to renew????!
You say you are renewing Norton LifeLock. Does your subscription include Norton 360 PLUS a Norton LifeLock credit monitoring service? As bjm_ notes subscriptions with the monitoring service cost more than just the security product.
The renewal price reflects the regular price of the subscription. When you first purchase the product you often get a discounted price for a new customer. Similar to many other subscription based services, you get a discount to sign on, then the regular price kicks in after the initial subscription period.
@xjoex
Oh...okay.
I don't understand number for "Device, User Count" here: https://us.norton.com/pricing page does not explain number of LifeLock memberships.
Seems Norton pricing page conflates Users with Devices even for Norton 360 with LifeLock Plans.
Whereas LifeLock pricing page here: https://www.lifelock.com/legal/pricing/ delineates number users and number of devices.
I imagine LifeLock memberships is one.
I imagine Family plan is needed for more than one LifeLock membership.
Thanks
FWIW ~ from my notes:
Norton 360 Premium is a one-year security solution subscription for up to 10 devices, available exclusively through retailers, including Amazon and Walmart.com in the U.S. On a case-by-case basis, we offer retailers the opportunity to distribute specially configured solutions from Norton LifeLock that may not be available for purchase through the Norton.com or LifeLock.com websites.
No I am not really sure because prices and plans and features keep changing very rapidly. The link I provided was for renewal fees only as of June 2019 and not any introductory prices.
Just today I received an offer from Norton to upgrade to a Premium plan that I did not even know existed when I signed up. I think that many consumers like me are very confused by all the plans, price changes, features, etc. as well as buying retail at Amazon or BestBuy versus buying at Norton.

Norton subscriptions are recurring term subscriptions. Norton subscription requires user account and user payment method for recurring subscription service. Virus Protection Promise requires user activate automatic renewal.
You purchased a recurring subscription which will automatically renew annually after the initial term. To be able to renew your subscription after the initial term, we need your payment information. The accepted payment methods* may vary depending on the country.
You won't be charged until the subscription term you already paid for comes to the end, and before billing, you receive a notification email to alert you about the upcoming subscription renewal and its price.
Users, as far as I know, with Automatic Renewal enabled receive email notifications prior to term expiry.
