Renewal Pricing Question

I can't understand this price difference.  To renew my subscription for one year through the web site - $85.62.

To purchase packaged software from Staples - $59.96.  This is a sale price, the regular price is $99.96.

I don't understand what Symantec is thinking - ripping off renewing customers in the tune of $25.00!

Maramonsk:

This happens frequently as various suppliers put the software on sale for their own reasons.  The common and suggested approach is to buy the software subscription where you can get the cheapest price and just enter the activation key into your Norton.  Symantec does not control  pricing or marketing policy of the retailers.

Whatever version you buy, you are also entitled to any upgrade of the product throughout your subscription period.  It's a win-win situation.

My subscription does not run out for another 3 months, but when it does can I renew the subsciption by buying a version of 360 from say staples or pcworld, and simply enter the code on the boxed 360 in my already installed version of 360?

Yes you can and leave using the new code until the last day so that you do not lose any days of your current subscription.
