Renewal Ripoff!

The renewal price is $194.99.

As I cancelled the auto-renew, I have been offered renewal at 20% discount for $159.99.

However, if I buy a new subscription off your website it’s $109.99.

At this stage, I will let my subscription lapse & buy a new subscription, saving $85.00.

Shouldn’t a renewal be the same price or cheaper than a new version?

It doesn’t appear that Norton looks after its loyal customers!

@Wayne_Gardiner Indeed, the first year pricing is generally lower and gets a hefty increase when renewed. Depending on your product you may be better off to purchase from a third party vendor such as Wal-Mart or BestBuy if you are in the US. Or, whatever the favorite tech shop of choice is in your geo location.

For some reason, I got a renewal price as same as a first time buy. That is how it should be. Customer appreciation.

It is how it should be! I’ve been with Norton for over a decade & the renewals are always more expensive than a new buy. In the past, I’ve been letting my subscription lapse, then buying a new subscription the following day. It’s a pain in the arse, but I save heaps. Long term customer who’s not feeling appreciated!

Managed to find a retailer here in Australia selling 2 year subscription for same product for $148.00.
