I'm getting a "fix now" alert at least once a day. When I click on "fix now," Norton does a live update. Sometimes the alert goes away for a while and then comes back. Other times the red exclamation point doesn't go away and keeps showing. Either way, I get the "fix now" alert whenever I open the computer lid and bring it out from sleep.

Good luck with resolving your problem. I can only confirm that intermittently over 3 years I have had the "fix now" issue with my M1 but it resolved quickly.

The "fix now" problem still happens after a full shutdown and restart.
I have the same M1 & macOS without your recurring issue. I have had the "fix" problem (not lately) but it resolved once I followed the steps you described.
Does the issue occur even after a full restart?
