Good Morning, this is my very 1st posthere, lol--(I had to register or whatever in my fiance's name, Norton said my name was a 'bad word', it DOES include letters that ARE, but I've never ever been told this!) 1st obstacle,
OK so I/we have had (Charlie & I, I will now just say I, lol) Norton 360 throughout last yr & we bought new 360 & installed it a cpl days ago, just looks a bit different. I did a quick rep scan & if I can copy & paste, you'll see my issue. ......................UGH I tried to download a 'screen print' to that box 'attachments' & I cannot do so yet, I am not smart enough to copy a darned file? ANYways it shows: Known good files (294,291,495) (Middle is Norton Network) then Known Bad files: (153,778,758). I TRIED to click onto the bad file section thinking I could delete them, but can't. I bet you can't tell that I am very very confused~I'd go to live chat but saw that it cost MORE $, so after over an hour, here's what I know-Nothing! I just want to know if & HOW I get rid of the bad files, if not, why not? I can see that this is going to be quite a difficult experience for me & I am NOT happy so far. The only things I use the 'net' for is to play a silly game thru Zynga.com, ck email once in awhile, wiki, & a rare utube or check on lyrics of songs. Is there aNorton explanation (for dummies) that I don't have to spend a week reading? Hopefully I can FIND this post once I've 'posted & left', but I'm not counting on it! thank you to any1 that reads this & or can help in ANY way!
still po'd re: not being able to add my pic that I spent the morining doing. sheesh. Now to top it off, I posted this thing & the lines from spelling are all though it! Grrrreat! & THEN: 'Your post has been changed because invalid HTML was found in the message body. The invalid HTML has been removed. Please review the message and submit the message when you are satisfied.' wth did I do now?
In addition to what Bombastus said, the Reputation Scan is not intended to alert you to malicious files. Norton uses reputation to categorize files so that trusted files can be skipped during AV scans, while files that are not fully trusted will continue to be scanned, and their behaviors monitored. This is simply a method of letting Norton work more efficiently so that user inconvenience can be minimized. The Reputation Scan lets you see how Norton is classifying some of the files on your PC. Files that are dangerous will be removed automatically by Auto-Protect, so there is no need for user action on any file based on a reputation scan.

You've bumped into a defect:
The 'Norton Network' section displayed above (row 4) should not be present as it has no relevance in terms of the assessment of 'your computer' (rows 1 to 3 above).
Like it's parent here:
...this feature belongs in a web page and not in the Norton product itself.
Any detections made by the Reputation Scan are typically dealt with silently:
...and noted in the Norton Security History accordingly.
Let us know if you need more information.
Thanks
