Requesting subscription extension for users affected by 'Symantec Service Framework' error

Is there any chance that Symantec will extend  subscriptions by a few days for those of us affected by the recent and widespread 'Symantec Service Framework' error? I don't think that I'm being unresonable in asking this. Many people were affected and some may well have picked up malware. All because software we paid for failed to work properly.

I know nothing's perfect and it would be unreasonable to expect perfection, but I don't expect the mayhem caused by this error from a well-respected company such as Symantec.

I'm very grateful to all the people at Symantec who worked so hard and at all hours to provlde us with the hotfix, but in future, can you just test things such as version updates more rigorously before making them available to us all via LiveUpdate?

Finally, may I thank everyone at Symantec for programs which are normally excellent. I've been using NIS since early 2003 and this is the first time I've had a real problem with it.
