Hi, it looks like my question has been answered in other posts e.g..
http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-360/Live-update-asks-me-to-restart-the-PC-after-every-update-Is-that/m-p/18703#M3516
- sorry to be repetitive but guess I really want someone to tell me if it is OK to run Live Update several times (each one requiring a restart) but only perform the update after update is no longer downloading.
We have HSI from Comcast & Norton 360 is provided for free. Have been telling family members it is OK to continue downloads, I think 4 times, each one requiring a restart but instead of restarting the PC 4 times just do it once @ the end. Am I correct in assuming this?
thanks in advance
Hi,
If "Restart Required" is told by the product its always recommended to restart the machine before running the LU again.
The restarts are required for Engine updates and the product updates. Unless you restart the machine, the product won't be updated and you would get the new updates for the recently updated engine.
Hope this is clear.
Regards,
Prasanna.
