I had a file on an usb-memory that Norton 360 put in quarentine and when I am trying to restore that file the result is error-1000. I rebooted my Windows XP of other reasons after the program was put in quarentine and I tried to restore it. How shall I do to restore the program.
Hi
Did your try the restore with the USB connected?
If not might occur as the restore location no longer exists!
Do wait ofr other members responses
The USB was connected and with the same deviceletter
Hi again try restoring it to a diffent location with USB disconnected and N360 Disabled
If you are running IE9 please switch to compatibility mode so we can see your text .......
I have two computers one with IE9 and the other with Firefox, the last answer did I use the one with IE9, sorry
There is no difference if the USB is plugged in or not
When I try to do something with the quarantined file, I have only three possibilities, 1-restore, 2-remove or 3-send to Symantec
I use restore, then I must answer the question, "restore, yes or no"
I hit the yes-key, then the Norton360 is restoring the file and the restore-log ends with error-1000 for my program
There is no button or anything that lets med change to destination of the result.
Could you please confirm your version of N 360 -- check Support / About where it is in the format nn.nn.nn.nnn
My version of N360 is 5.0.2.1
Thanks -- I'm not sure if that's the absolute latest but it is in the right ball park -- someone else will jump in.
I'll ask for some help because the Norton Support website doesn't even know an Error 1000 although Google shows it came up in N360 V2 a few years ago!
Please post a screenshot of this error. Make sure that the USB drive is not write protected. Disable Removable Media Scan and Auto-Protect temporarily(15mins) before you restore the file from Quarantine. Let us know the results.

I have deactivated every thing but there is no difference if the USB is connected or not. I can copy files to it and without removing the USB I tried to do a restore but still, error 1000 or shall I say "Fel 1000" because I am swedish.
I´ve have a screenshot of the error, but how am I going to post it? The program only allowes me to attach text-files.
