I would like to restore my computer and I still have over 100 days of my subscription remaing. If I restore my computer, can I still take advantage of the 100+ days of my subscription, or would I have to purchase a new subscription? If I can keep my subscription, how would I get it back?
Thanks in advance,
-Nathan
PS: The product has been activated on three different computers becuase it comes with three copies.

Welcome Nathan,
When you restore your computer you will be able to reactivate your current subscription and retain all of the days you have remaining.
http:/norton.com/latestn360p
or you can restore the older version and run the Norton Remove and Reinstall Tool to get it up to date and reactivated.
You will not lose any subscription as long as you are installing on the same hardware.
Before you begin the restore process, use Norton Management to remove the installation from your Norton Account. This will ensure a hassle free reinstall when the time comes. Log into Norton Management at www.manage.norton.com and click on the My Account tab. Click on product Details, then find your computer listed under your current subscription. Then click on the trash can beside the computer you want to remove.
Now you can proceed with the computer restore. If you are using a manufacturer's restore utility, be sure you fully remove any trial security software using the removal utility for that software.
To reinstall your Norton, log into your Norton Account at www.account.norton.com and click on the yellow Download button beside your current product. This will download and install a preactivated copy of your Norton product. Be sure you run LiveUpdate manually a few times, rebooting as necessary, until no updates are available.
Thanks for the great info! I’ll be sure to follow the steps you guys said, and I’ll keep you posted for sure. Right now, I need to backup all my stuff I want to keep, then the plan is to restore Friday overnight. If I have any questions I’ll leave a comment when they come up.

When I go to to "my account" and "product details" it says:
"There are no products or services registered to your Norton Account at this time."
Am I missing something?
Nathan,
The key to your Norton product should be listed in your Norton account. I'm assuming that you are the person that purchased the product and registered it when you activated it. If not then the purchaser will have to assist you.
If you never registered your subscription to your Norton Account (you're given the option of doing so when you install, but it's not forced), then you would not have this method available. Under those circumstances, you'll need to have your Product Key to reactivate.
Dick's suggestion is also a possibility; sometimes, for example, a subscription gets registered to a spouse's account instead, especially since each user needs to have their own Norton Account to use other Symantec services like Norton Zone (cloud storage).
Also, when you restore your computer, you may find that you have a trial version of another product already installed. That other product will have to be removed fist before you can attempt to get back your premier version of N360. Please make sure you use the add/remove first and then use the removal tool from the other company to thoroughly remove that other product first and then reboot your computer. You will then be ready to attempt to reinstall N360. If you do have any problems, you can always try our free chat program.

So, as long as I have the product key, when I restore my computer to factory settings (and uninstall whatever virus protection is there by default) Norton should reinstall no problem? I don't have to do anything to it before I restore?
So, the restore went well--was delayed a day due to backups taking longer then expected. I went to install Norton this morning like you guys said, and it told me:
You should be able to see it if you click the link. If it still doesn't work then it said: Expired product key. This product key has expired and cannot be used to activate this product.
Given what you said up front about having your Norton installed on three different computers, I do see an opportunity for a common misunderstanding: the clock starts ticking on your subscription, not when you install it on that machinnne, but rather the first time you use that subscription--in other words, the date that you installed it on the first machine.
However, if you still have a subscription running and showing as current on the other two machines, and it says you have around 100 days remaining, then you should have subscription days remaining somewhere. Is it possible that the third machine was protected using a different subscription, somehow? Did you maybe start off with a subscription to Norton 360 Standard, then upgrade to Premier in conjunction with a renewal at some point? Or "renew" by buying a new license online somewhere, as part of a deal? Either of those would have given you a different Product Key...and if you went back now and tried to reactivate using your original Key, it would (correctly) be showing as expired, because it would be the new Key protecting your systems.
Still, the bottom line--assuming that the two machines I'm assuming are still showing a current subscription are from a three-license subscription--is that you ought to be able to get the third one running again. Can you go to one of the machines showing a current license, log into your Norton Account/Norton Management, and register that subscription to your Norton Account? If so, you should then be able to go to the machine that's reporting an expired Key, log into your Norton Account on it, and then use your Account to activate the third PC (worst case: you might need to reinstall your product using the "Download" button you would see there).
Failing any of that, we may have to refer you to Norton Live Chat: they have access to yourr account information (we do not, since we're not employees!) and can usually get subscription issues straightened out in a matter of minutes.

If you are installing on the same physical machine you were using before the restore, you should have just gone to your Norton Account https://account.norton.com and click on the yellow Download button beside your current subscription. This will download and install a current copy of your 360 with the product key already entered and ready to go. All you need do is run LiveUpdate manually a few times, rebooting as necessary, until no updates are available.
