rootsca.info attack

Norton Antivirus 2009

Windows Firewall

Windows Vista Home with the Vista service pack 2

IE7

seems like over the past week or so, I periodically get a bogus notification that I need to scan for virus using some phoney virus scan

it closes out my browser and leaves a "window requesting"  I scan. Then before I can close it out (using task manager), another window pops up showing multitudes of trojans, virus, etc

What a scanner it must be to get all that done  in 5 seconds :smileywink:

When I check my browser history, i see some entry for rootscan.info

But on a serious note, does Norton have something in the definitions to block this from coming up? I googled the issue and it appears that  rootscan.info, microscano.info, and andoscan.info are all linked to this
