'Round it goes... Ghost 15

I have been running Ghost 15 for a good number of months and really came to rely on it to save me from my own mistakes. A few days ago, my external HD containing “My Documents” and a few misc. files failed. I was glad I had it backed up with Ghost but I had no new drive to replace it with at the moment. I mounted the restore point and copied “My Documents” to an internal drive which also contained my restore points. It is 1.5 Tb so plenty of room. Then the problems started. After a re-boot, there was a warning on my Ghost icon that it could not reconcile and I got a message that the “Service Module has encountered a problem and has to close.” Sorry… Yada Yada Yada. (See screen shots.) First, I tried recovering my “C” drive. It didn’t solve the problem.  Next, I saw a forum post (not here I think) that suggested Program Files/Norton Ghost/fixinstall.bat and I tried that. Nope. Then I tried uninstall/reinstall and got an error. I did a repair install and then was able to uninstall. I reinstalled from the disc and rebooted. It was very slow. I could not remember if the Ghost program icon in the taskbar was supposed to be there or not but it wasn’t. I went to All Programs and clicked on it there and got "Error E1AD3212: You do not have sufficient privileges to perform this operation..." and found http://us.norton.com/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=20100521112022EN&OpenDocument&seg=hho&src=_mi&product=NSR&version=15.0&language=english&module=7038&error=12818&build=Symantec&entsrc=CED_pubweb . I followed steps #’s 1,2 and 3. At this point, the program does not respond AT ALL to the shortcut in “All Programs” and I’m out of ideas. Got any?
