Using Norton 360 on windows Vista with UAC enabled.
Select "PC Tune-Up"
Select "Run File Cleanup"
Norton 360 will delete all of the users virtualized files. (All files saved in users Documents by plugins are virtualized when you are in protected mode) See following link for description of how this work. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb756960.aspx
This is a serious bug in Norton 360. Is there a work around? Is there any fix in the pipeline? Does Norton know about this issue or do you need more details?
Thanks,
Ken
Is there some other place on the Symantec web site where you can report bugs like this? This is a serious issue I would like Symantec to look at it.
Run File Cleanup is broken. It deletes files saved by the user without any warning.

Hi Ken1111,
Could you confirm that you're using N360 v5, and the exact steps you're taking to get this issue to occur? I want to be sure our team has the right information to reproduce the problem. Thanks.
Issues happens with all versions of Norton 360. Last tested with version 5.0.0.125.
Please see first post in this thread for details of issue.
Issue is that all viritualized files are deleted by Norton 360 disk cleanup.
The microsoft documentation in the OP shows you how file virtualiation works under WIndows Vista when UAC is enabled. In this case all when the user saves files they are saved to a virtualized directory. Norton 360 deletes this directory and the users files are gone and they have lost their work.
There is no warning or anything. The virtualized files are not safe to delete.
Thanks,
Ken
