For those who are running Claude with the short-sighted belief Norton is somehow having a bug moment, I invite you to read this article. Norton is protecting you from the mistakes of trusting AI at any level like this.

With all due respect, the fact that someone developed a modified firmware using Claude is not related at all to the reported bug. Following your logic, there should be the same issue when running any compiler on the machine.
You are denying everywhere that this is an issue with the product, but whether you are a Norton employee (which you claim not to be, reading your bio) or simply an overzealous fan, you are not doing Norton any favors.
If this turns out to be the normal/intended behavior of this product — something that does not happen with the other “noteworthy A//V company” products that I have tested for comparison — even more users will move to the competition. On the contrary, when (and I am sure this will happen) this bug is fixed, what will your position be? That Norton is then protecting less than it should be?
As a side note I suspect that this behavior is due to the introduction of the following nice feature, which could have some issues in they early stages. FAQ: Norton AI Agent Protection

Thank for the post. The opening post is regarding the entire source code for Claude being compromised. That in itself is as serious as it gets. Those professional warnings are out there for good reason in that regard.
Aside from any detections/bugs Norton may have when using AI Agent. Not every user is using SAGE. Not every user is using Norton AI Agent as well. Both are BETA offerings. The below link suggests the user selects the platform for SAGE at the time of installation. AI Assistance is optional in Norton settings.
