Safe search icons are gone. I have N360 with the Norton toolbar enabled, but recently the safe search icon disappeared. In Manage add-ons in IE11 tools menu, it says that safe search is enabled, but not available. What is going on?
I got it back working by resetting internet explorer to default setting. Now I have the ---- BING toolbar instead of the goolge toolbar. How do I remove this BING crap and get my google back. I know this is not Norton related but I wanted the green check marks back when using google and now it works but not google toolbar. What else did I do. Tom
Firstly if you have an existing licence you can upgrade for free to Norton 2010 and suggest you do this.
Goto in IE to tools, manage add-ons, click search providers. bing is listed and you can "find more search providers", there is an explanation on how to add Google. If this is not what you are referring to then please advise. These are not toolbars btw just the choice of provider for searching but I presumed this is what you meant.
Thanks, I learned something. That did the trick. Now would you know why Norton is taking 5 minutes to load when I first boot the computer. It used to load quick. I thought after I upgraded to 2010 it would start back loading fast. The computer boots fast but Norton will not show up for several minutes later. Tom

This has already been reported here. https://community.norton.com/en/node/1944662 The issue has been escalated to Norton.
Cela a déjà été rapporté ici. https://community.norton.com/en/node/1944662 Le problème a été transmis à Norton.
I seem to recall there also was one called "ghost" or some such, but I can't find it right now. Anyhow, many options out there. :)
I share everything. And Norton could associate with a search engine that respects the privacy of the user: Qwant.com for example.
