Samsung S7 Dolphin Browser Safe Search Removal

I see all over the Internet how to remove safe search from a PC but can’t find how to remove it from my S7.

You are welcome.

Thank you!

Did you try what I outlined in my previous post to turn off the Ongoing Notification in the Norton Mobile Security app. That is the icon you are seeing.

The Safe Search icon is a magnifying glass.

Top LEFT has a small circle with a lock inside it. It’s a miniature version of the icon used for opening the app. I don’t want smart search and I don’t want that icon.

I have a Norton icon at the top right of the screen, but that is for the malware feature of NMS saying the system is safe.

If that is the one you want to remove, from the main NMS screen and tap on the 3 bars at the top left, then tap App Settings. Under the General Settings, turn off Ongoing Notifications.

Not the big icon on the home screen that is easily removed, the little one in the top left corner of the screen.

On PC's you are only disabling the feature on the Norton Toolbar. You cannot actually uninstall the feature. The same is true of the Mobile app. The Safe Search is an integral part of the app, and can only be controlled by settings.

On your Android, what are you concerned about? Is it the icon on the home screen? Just hold your finger on that and swipe up to the 'Remove' or trash can icon at the top of the screen.

If it is a search bar on a browser, go to the main Norton Mobile Security screen, and tap the globe icon. Then tap on Safe Search. Then tap on the 3 bars at the top right of that screen, and then you tap Settings. From there you can turn off or add options for this feature.
