Hi all,
I wanted to post this since this is a Security forum and there is some good information about UEFI and where it is going.
When Windows 8 debuts we will all need to be a bit more cognizant of the UEFI as we work throughout our threads.

Hi A_B
Some interesting reading there A_B , thanks for the "heads up " I'd missed that one for sure
After over twenty five years of "digging around " in all the BIOS flavours I've come across whilst building and repairing PC's .....I've got pretty comfortable with the old dinosaur
!
I know many new users have never ventured into the BIOS area , (and probably never will ) ...but I have always found it to be a very valuable tool , and a real " life saver " on many occasions !
Having said that ....the new kid on the block ( UEFI ) ....has some great plus points , and seeing as this game is forever changing and developing .......any innovative or progressive change is always welcome ...As always..." fingers on the pulse" to keep a watch on the " ins n' outs " and wait to see how it will all finally develop !
Keeps us on our toes I guess
I must have had my head buried in the sand for the past year .....Just found this info on UEFI from back in Jan 2011 with some good screenshots of UEFI ! .......http://techinstyle.tv/products/discovering-uefi-with-asus-new-bios-replacement/
Cheers............Ed
