I purchased Norton from eBay. When the seller sent activation code it did not work, there was an error code and 1800 phone number to call. I assumed it was Norton support, they checked my computer said there was a firewall issue and connected me to tech experts in Miami. They accessed my computer and alledgedly solved the problem. But in the process I saw that they backedup all my files. I phoned Norton support directly who said it was not them, and checked my computer finding no problems and activating Norton security software, but warned me that this was probalbly a scam and to change all my passwords. The Miami company is on the web, but I cannot prove that they are scammers so no names. However eBay communications contained an error code and phone number which directed me to a company other than Norton.
