Scammer using Norton name/logo

FYI. There is a scammer using the Norton name and logo, sending emails stating that people's account will be charged "X" amount unless the phone number provided is called by end of day, the same day as the email arrives. I googled the phone number and found two reports from people with similar details as my email (both from the last couple of weeks). My email had my name as the sender. Clicking on that showed the sender to be maxwelloduro717@gmail.com. I am reporting this to the FTC.

E-mail scams are being sent with the names and logos for numerous companies, there is not much anyone can do other than report it for the company to investigate and do their legal bidding. Best practices are to delete the messages and not click on any links it may provide. Here is how to report a scam message to Norton:
