On the scan performance profile, does this effect a system scan or does it control the realtime scans?

This would affect all scans.  Effectively this would interface with the Insight Trust data and adjust the scanning engine to accept the data more or ignore it.  Full Scan says scan everything.  High Trust says don’t scan anything that has Insight Trust or a level 3 Digital file signature.  Standard Trust says don’t scan anything that has an Insight Trust.

Thanks for the quick reply dbrisendine.  Just so I’m clear, this means more files will be scanned as I’m using my computer surfing, & all the other tasks we use our computer for?

I'm not sure if we're clear on this question. 

 

The insight rating only affects those files that are in your computer already.  If trusted and unchanged they are not scanned every time. 

 

Everything coming into your computer, or changed in your your computer, whether by downloads, opening files, and emails are fully scanned. Any incoming threats are blocked and/or quarantined.
