Everything else works as far as seeing where my child has been, etc., but the search setting is on and it is not logging search activity. It says that there has been no search activity in the last seven days and I know for a fact there has been.
What are the search engines used? As per this KB article, Online Family supports specific search engines for search activity monitoring.
