I see that this issue was discussed in a topic from @BPMikey back in Sept 2025. I’m surprised that this capability isn’t already built-in to Password Manager. If you learn, as I have, that one of your passwords is compromised, but the associated login is unknown, it would be important to be able to search for it. Looking manually at over 100 logins not a fun project.
OS is Windows 10
Unable to find the Password Mgr version.

Hello @Jay_Tucker
Welcome to the Norton Community!
– Resolve compromised passwords with Norton Password Manager –
Norton Password Manager queries Have I Been Pwned by sending the first 5 characters of the SHA-1 password hash. The check is on the password value , not on a specific account. It’s performed locally, so Norton’s servers never see the full password.
When the check runs outside of an active sign-in (i.e., you’re not at a login page), the alert says “one of your passwords is compromised” but doesn’t identify which entry matched. With 100+ logins, that means a manual scan to find the one.
The alert as-is is a vigilance nudge, not an actionable one. You can’t fix what you can’t find.
Norton Password Manager is a free product that covers the basics, but it trails even free competitors on features like compromised-password identification, password sharing, and passkey support.
Norton Password Manager is a basic, functional password manager that covers the minimum (store, generate, autofill, detect breaches) but doesn’t differentiate itself from the free tier of any major competitor. For someone evaluating options in 2026, it’s hard to recommend over Bitwarden or 1Password on feature parity alone, even at the same $0 price point.
