Whilst I want to be notified of replies to my discussion topics, I would prefer that the details of replies are not included in the email notifications. Is there any way of preventing this? All that is really required is “Member XYZ” has replied to your last post/reply of “a specified date & time”,
Click on your user icon at the top right of any community page and click on the Profile icon ( bottom right of pop out). Then click on Preferences and Email. Uncheck the option to Include an excerpt of replied to post in emails.
Thank you very much for your reply & instructions.
I have just checked the Preference > Emails > Options, & have found that the option - " Include an excerpt of replied to post in emails”, is unchecked.
I did review this option yesterday, but cannot recall whether I unchecked it then, but if I did, then I must have done it after you sent your reply, because the excerpt of my comment from my Discussion Topic appeared in your email reply, that I received yesterday 7Oct24, at 14:42 UTC; if you reply to this comment, & there is no excerpt of this comment in your reply, then it will confirm that’s what happened.
As you requested, I’m replying to see if you still see the excerpt from the reply.
Thanks for your reply. No, there is not an excerpt of my comment in my reply to you, so this would seem to confirm that the option was unchecked after your reply to me of Wed 8Jan25, 4:47 UTC (that I did not read until 7 hrs later, on Wed 8Jan24 at 11:47 UTC); but still, I do not recall unchecking the option
