Selective Norton Removal Tool (SNoRT)

Hi there.

I would like to suggest that Symantec make a Removal Tool that has a menu driven user interface, so a user can

simply uninstall any Norton programs leaving others unaffected. If the separate programs know how to install

themselves cleanly, they should be able to be selectively removed in the same way.

Let's call it -  SNoRT - Selective Norton Removal Tool.

Just my thoughts...

Great Idea Atomic_Blast... That way you dont have to worry about having to re install another Norton product that was removed alongside the Norton product that you want to uninstall while running NRT

I would like to see SNoRT, and support you idea. It must be able to make a program like this, not all Norton program shares the same base.

Hi Symantec:

As an enhancement to SNoRT, please integrate a facility that saves (exports to a file) the configuration settings/preferences of each product that is currently installed, so that a user can directly import them if they decide to reinstall the uninstalled product.

Why would there need to re-configure it again? It would make the process much easier, IMO, if this option is provided.

The file should be keyed to the product being uninstalled/reinstalled, to prevent any corruption.

Best,
