Okay here's the back story,
I have been a Norton customer for years, and have had a Norton 360 subscription for many years. Some months ago my subscription expired. I didn't even turn my laptop on for the months in which my subscription had expired so was in no hurry to re-new as the device was sat there turned off...
Okay I turn on my laptop just last week and I've decided that I am going to remove Norton (I intend to use another product) I used the Norton removal tool and rebooted all seemed okay, except Norton is not gone! I am getting this (see screen shot below) over and over and over. I can dismiss it and it comes back and I can even go down the road of downloading and installing (in the hope it would leave me alone) but no Norton is basically harassing me and spamming me with the need to download even though the official removal tool has apparently removed Norton.
I cannot be the only person who is having this issue, please tell me there is a solution as I have not had any joy as yet
So to recap, I had norton I uninstalled it using official tool,
I get the following below
I gave in downloaded it and installed it rebooted hoping it would end the continual cycle of nagging to install, I then ran the official removal tool again hoping this would end it
but no here it is again.....
I dont want to format and reinstall windows as it seems overkill but I can see this is where its going.
C'mon Norton this is taking the biscuit,
If someone can help please tell me the secret to fixing this (I am not paying to renew especially after this farce)
