Setting Up A Full Antivirus Scan Using Windows 7 Task Scheduler

What's the best way to setup a Full Antivirus Scan using Windows 7 Task Scheduler

Hi Harley55,

Please tell us which version of N 360 you are using.  If you are on version 21.1.0.18 you can no longer schedule a full system scan using the Windows Task Scheduler.  It is handled within the UI of N 360 using the NortonTasks Scheduler (a.k.a. Norton Job Manager)

Hi

Are you wanting to run an unattended Full Scan by waking the PC?  If that's what you're wanting to do, you can use the Task Scheduler to wake the PC (if your PC is in Sleep mode) a couple of minutes before the Full Scan is scheduled to start the scan.

That's what I do on my Desktop and Laptop PC's, waking up both PC's overnight to run the Full Scans.

Hi, Harley 55. If you don't want to schedule a full scan you can just run it manually as I do, on a weekly basis.

I set it to run while I'm having lunch and it's done, by the time I'm finished.... Easy. :smileyhappy:

Given that a quick scan is run at idle after definition updates, a full scan isn't as essential as it used to be.
