Using a portion of Norton Internet Security 2011 ("portion" because only about 70% of the program actually works)
Under computer Settings > Boot Time Protection = grayed out - unresponsive
Real Time Protection items grayed out an unresponsive:
- Auto-Protect
- Caching
- Removable Media Scan
On the Main screen, the "Antivirus" button is dimmed out - unresponsive.
Also, when trying to get a majority of the program to work, in Security History -Advanced Details, it shows "Adware Unresolved = 1". But, I can't find anywhere what that "security risk" is. It doesn't tell me anywhere, what the program name is, let alone where it is. While I'm normally a trusting person, Norton has taught me that I can't trust most software - especially Norton.
I tried to ask 'support', and avoided the fraudulent "Nathan" ruse and managed to play the "try and type a question here" game for email 'support' but it wouldn't let me post - so here I am. Not knowqing if Norton is working, sleeping, or off it's rocker.

p.s. I should point out perhaps, that Norton imagines it found a adware (see above) and did nothing. When I clicked Ignore, then Close, it took Norton over 5 minutes to ignore and close.
